Summer in North America 2018 Part 24 - Last days in Vancouver - The End

After our stay in Whistler, we drove through North Vancouver and made a stop at Sushi Umi for dinner with our friends from Winnipeg! We ordered a lot of food and we could barely finish it. The sushi were fresh and good.

In the next few days we didn't do any touristy things. We went to a few shopping malls, some smaller shops, and we went to my niece's eye clinic. It has a beautiful view from their window!

Finally, on the day before we left BC, I found a good cafe. Better than any other ones I've tried in Canada. It's called Moving Coffee Roastery. The place is tiny with only a few seats but it's really worth a visit if you like coffee.

We had one last bubble waffle and also took the kids to Rain or Shine ice cream parlour.

Then it was time to fly back home after being away for more than a month... So long, Canada! Until next time!

World of Ghibli Exhibition Jakarta 2017

A few months back I received an email about World of Ghibli exhibition in Jakarta. My skeptical brain immediately thought, "Aah, how good could it be... I've visited the museum in Mitaka and it's probably not going to be any better." Fast forward to August, a few of my Japan loving friends mentioned that rumours said that the displays are very good, made by Indonesians in cooperations with Ghibli representatives from Japan. In fact, so good that the Japanese company plans to take the displays and give them a home in Japan. Well hearing this from several different people definitely piqued my interest and I decided to check it out.
