When you're visiting Seattle, the Pike Place Market is simply a must-visit place. Overcrowded with tourists as it is, there are always things to see and do and eat there. We started our first morning in Seattle with breakfast at our hotel. From there, we headed straight to the market. It took several loops around to find a parking spot, which we finally found in a parkade. We headed straight to the Pike Place Chowder, knowing that we would have to queue there for a while. Located in Post Alley, the legendary chowder eatery had customers lining up. We've actually had this chowder four years before and I didn't think it was anything special. However, I wanted to try it again.

DH kindly lined up for the chowder and told Miss Kiki and I to walk around... <3
Miss Kiki and I then walked and walked and took a lot of pictures...
We came back to the line and we still had a long ways to go. So we went again...
And finally! DH called us back to eat... This time we ordered a bisque and a chowder. They were good!
We finished our soups quickly and separated ways. DH went by himself and Miss Kiki and I continued walking around. I wanted to see what tumblers they had at the original Pike Place Starbucks location, but when I got there the lineup was waaaay to long so I decided it wasn't worth the wait.
There's also another store in this market that's very famous and with long lineups, it's called Piroshkys. I decided that they're not worth the wait and moved on.
Miss Kiki and I went to the Waterfront Park by the Elliott Bay, and DH met up with us there. The area has several of their own attractions including the iconic Seattle Great Wheel, the Seattle Aquarium, and a few restaurants.
We spent about half an hour or so at the Waterfront Park and then we went back to the car and drove a little bit up north to the Olympic Sculpture Park, an offshoot of Seattle Art Museum that displays art pieces outdoors. We parked right on the street beside the park at a parking meter.
The large park also has a few seats overlooking the water. Many people were sitting and relaxing there.
From here, we went to the Seattle Center area. Please follow our adventures there in the next post!
