The next destination was Maratua Island, and we had lunch at the Maratua Paradise Resort. The weather became much better when we got there. Here is another jaw dropping view of clear water and white sand. The water was calm, and here Miss Kiki and I tried snorkelling for the first time. She did really well for a first timer. We were very impressed!
The tide was low, so when I stood up the water reached only up to my waist. That was perfect for our first time. However, this made the water more muddy so visibility was not great.
A little bit about the snorkels, Miss Kiki used her new Speedo Junior snorkel we got her for her birthday. As for ourselves, we decided to go with the Tusa Pro from the Arena store. The top of the mouthpiece has an automatic flap that blocks water from coming in when you are under water. As for the goggle part, it has a one-way valve that allow water to go out but not in. We were very happy with it. The material was also better than Speedo snorkels.
