The town of Finale Ligure is a beach town located between Genoa and Ventimiglia. We made a brief stop here just to look around. We parked in a paid parking lot right by the beach and walked around the old town. The beach was somewhat busy, though Iām sure it will get busier in July. Here we entered St. John The Baptist Basilica, it was beeeautiful inside! Finale Ligure is also famous for their olive oil, specifically the Olio Salvo Finale.
After Finale Ligure we continued driving to Ventimiglia. I had booked
Agriturismo Un Mare di Fiori for one night, as it was just a stop on our way to France. The agriturismo is perched on high grounds, offering a beautiful view of the sea. We had access to their rooftop garden so we used it to spread all the food weāve been lugging around and have them for dinner. It was a nice meal with a view!
The drive up and down from the road to the agriturismo was rather steep, it was a bit daunting to do in an oversized, unfamiliar car. Anyhow we managed without a scratch. Phew!
Next up, is Monaco!
