Dreamy Europe Trip Summer 2024 - Part 10 Finale Ligure and Ventimiglia Italy

The town of Finale Ligure is a beach town located between Genoa and Ventimiglia. We made a brief stop here just to look around. We parked in a paid parking lot right by the beach and walked around the old town. The beach was somewhat busy, though Iā€™m sure it will get busier in July. Here we entered St. John The Baptist Basilica, it was beeeautiful inside! Finale Ligure is also famous for their olive oil, specifically the Olio Salvo Finale.

After Finale Ligure we continued driving to Ventimiglia. I had booked Agriturismo Un Mare di Fiori for one night, as it was just a stop on our way to France. The agriturismo is perched on high grounds, offering a beautiful view of the  sea. We had access to their rooftop garden so we used it to spread all the food weā€™ve been lugging around and have them for dinner. It was a nice meal with a view!

The following morning, we had breakfast at the agriturismo, and then we walked around the area to check it out. They have at least two beaches within walking distance, one of which is a pebbled beach. I thought it was pretty cool.

The drive up and down from the road to the agriturismo was rather steep, it was a bit daunting to do in an oversized, unfamiliar car. Anyhow we managed without a scratch. Phew!

Next up, is Monaco!

Nintendo Switch Sleeve Tutorial

Hi! I'm Kirana from woofkiki.blogspot.co.id . I am going to write an introduction for this blog post. We bought a Nintendo Switch in Japan.  I really liked it and played with it almost everyday. If you're wondering what a Nintendo Switch is, it is a video game where you can basically  "switch" everything. The joy-cons and even the game! You can also connect it to your TV. It would be nice to bring it around with you, but when you put it in your bag... Oh no! The screen scratched! So, this is a sleeve that will fix that. Let's get started!šŸ˜Š Kirana Now the tutorial (by Kirana's mom)... 1. Make your pattern according to the picture below. It is basically a 6"x24" rectangle with a semi circle at one end. Note: this is not a printable pattern 1. Cut your outer fabric, lining, and batting(optional). In this tutorial, I used minky for lining and a pre-quilted fabric for the cover, so I didn't need extra batting. For batting, I recomm...

World of Ghibli Exhibition Jakarta 2017

A few months back I received an email about World of Ghibli exhibition in Jakarta. My skeptical brain immediately thought, "Aah, how good could it be... I've visited the museum in Mitaka   and it's probably not going to be any better." Fast forward to August, a few of my Japan loving friends mentioned that rumours said that the displays are very good, made by Indonesians in cooperations with Ghibli representatives from Japan. In fact, so good that the Japanese company plans to take the displays and give them a home in Japan. Well hearing this from several different people definitely piqued my interest and I decided to check it out. It turned out that Miss Kiki and DH also wanted to go so I bought tickets from Traveloka  because they had a sale.  In the morning of our visit day, I asked Miss Kiki if she wanted to dress up as Kiki when she goes and she excitedly said yes. I made her a red bow headband with Cotton and Steel's Supreme Solid in Bandana  ...

Japan Trip June 2016 - Part 9 - Osaka

It was a super hot and bright morning and we were all packed and ready to ride the train to Osaka. We had no excuse to take a taxi so we walked to Kyoto Station... It was a rather short ride considering we moved cities, it was still around noon when we arrived at Osaka Station. The AirBnb property I had booked looked close to the station on the map, but it was further than expected. We were so sweaty by the time we got there, mostly because of our backpacks and our suitcases! I was very impressed Miss Kiki carried her backpack without complaints even though it was pretty stuffed by then. Taken from Osaka Station We had to change our wet and sticky clothes upon arrival, and after a bit of rest we decided to head out. First to Tenjimbashisuji Shopping Street listed on a tourist guide just over 1 km away. It was so hot and sunny I regretted not taking a hat for any of us. I was lucky I hadn't forgotten to bring my sunglasses. When we got there, we real...
