Lately I found out that more and more of my friends use my blog as reference for their travel preparations. Therefore, I am making it my goal to make it easier for whoever reads my blog to plan their trip. I think that making sample itineraries is one way to do it, and with a very special friend in mind, I will start with a sample itinerary for Seattle.
Last year in the summer I spent 3 days in Seattle. That included the drive to and from Delta, BC. You can read the whole story on my post. Here, I will write a more technical itinerary of the trip.

Last year in the summer I spent 3 days in Seattle. That included the drive to and from Delta, BC. You can read the whole story on my post. Here, I will write a more technical itinerary of the trip.
Day 1
- 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Drive to Seattle Premium Outlet
This time allowance includes a half-hour wait at the border. Sometimes it will take longer at the border depending on the queue. - 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Lunch and shop at Seattle Premium Outlet
30 minutes for lunch, and spare 3-4 hours to go in and out the stores at the outlet. If you like to eat a lot, there is an option to eat buffet lunch at the Tulalip Casino right by the outlet. - 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Drive from Seattle Premium Outlet to hotel. We stayed at Fairfield Inn by Marriott in Bellevue area. It was inexpensive and quite decent, and the price includes breakfast. - 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Check in, quick rest, and dinner. We had a burger dinner at Wibbley's Burger and it was very good. If you don't feel like burgers, you can head straight to Bellevue Square. - 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Go to Bellevue Square, buy fancy candies at Lolli & Pops, walk around the mall a bit, and then cross over to Bellevue Downtown Park to enjoy the outdoors. If you go in the summer there will still be light out but it won't be too hot.
- 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Pike Place Market area.
Right after breakfast, drive straight to Pike Place Market. Finding a parking spot would not be easy and once you find one it will cost you an arm and a leg. There are many things to see and do here but you would spend a lot of time queueing for something. The original Starbucks, Pike Place Chowder, Piroshkys. If you plan to visit any of those, spare a minimum of 30 minutes wait for each. Aside from browsing the market, you might also like to go to the Harbourfront area and spend some time there. - 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Olympic Sculpture Park.
Just a short drive from the Pike Place Market, this park is a nice stop if you have interest either in the outdoors or in arts. Otherwise, skip it. If you prefer shopping and cultures, stay longer at the market instead. - 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Seattle Center.
This area has many attractions in one. Space Needle, Seattle Children's Museum, Museum of Pop Culture, Memorial Stadium, and Chihuly Garden and Glass are just a few. If you plan to visit more than one or two attractions in this area, I would recommend sparing more time here. There is a food court and I highly recommend MOD Pizza.
Day 3
- 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Living Computers Museum.
With a large poster that says "Come in. Geek out" this museum attracts families like us. We could've spent more time there had we not been so hungry closer to lunch time. We crossed the street and ate pulled pork lunch at Peco's Pit. - 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
The Spheres.
Amazon's new headquarters building is definitely worth a visit, and if you happen to be there on the right days, you can even get a tour inside or walk inside the indoor garden. Please check their public visit hours when you make plans. - Drive back
