Yesterday I published Part 14 of the series then afterwards I realized that Part 13 hadn't been published yet! Whooops, sorry about that!
After our lunch in Xintiandi, we went to Starbucks Reserve Roastery Shanghai, a 30k square feet construction that is the home of the second-of-its-kind Starbucks after the Seattle counterpart. The one in Shanghai opened at the end of 2017, and apparently just a month ago they opened one in Bali as well!
There was a long lineup right outside the building to enter but the line moved very quickly. After 10 minutes or so we were inside the building. It was like a mini coffee amusement park complete with delicious coffee smells. A little confession here... I do not like Starbucks coffee and I very rarely drink coffee from Starbucks. However, this particular Starbucks has so many cool looking tools and machines and also interesting coffee concoctions we just had to give it a try. To top it off, their pastries looked very inviting!
Of course they had special Reserve Roastery tumblers and cups and stuff but they were way too expensive!
In one corner of the store you can see the coffee beans being roasted and packed.

We separated ways with our friends here, and we hope that we could see each other again before another 10 years!
After Starbucks, we took the metro to the Science and Technology Museum Shanghai. We weren't actually planning to go to the museum, but at the basement by the metro station there is a market where one can really practice their haggling skills.... :D
Here I bought a custom stamp for myself to stamp on my paintings. :) They had clothes, souvenirs, teas, fabrics, and a lot of other things for sale.
We spent about an hour there before we caught another metro to go see the ERA Show Shanghai...
