Motykas in Asia 2018 Part 10 - Hangzhou West Lake

When I was browsing online to plan our itinerary for this trip, there was a proverb that came forward again and again. It says 

In Heaven there is Paradise and on Earth there is Suzhou and Hangzhou.

With such proverb implying that these two places are as beautiful as paradise, well of course we just had to go see them! The main touristic attraction in Hangzhou is the West Lake,  a UNESCO World Heritage site located on the west side of the city.

On the last morning of year 2018 we set out to see the famous freshwater lake. It was a wet, cold, and cloudy day in Hangzhou, and while we were walking around sometimes it snowed and sometimes it drizzled. I got the Olympus Pen out and attached my latest tele-lens on.

The West Lake is quite large, and in good weather it would be best to cycle around to see the famous sites around the lake. That day however, was not a good day to cycle so we just roamed the area without a special purpose of visiting any of the sites. It was beautiful regardless!
