Whirlwind In A Mama's Head

Last month, the Bibap Show was playing at Ciputra Artpreneur in Jakarta. It seemed interesting so I considered buying the tickets to see it. Out of the blue, my friend offered me two VVIP tickets because he could not go. Hurraaah!   Picture taking wasn't allowed during the show so I don't have any but the show itself was quite entertaining. It wasn't mind blowing or anything but it was fun, interactive, and funny. The casts were Korean, but they adapted some Indonesian words and songs into the show. I laughed and laughed until I cried. Unfortunately the weren't too many people in the theatre. Such a pity. If they ever come again I would definitely recommend it!    

It was not too long ago that I posted about Miss Kiki's 7th birthday celebration. I felt like I blinked and the 8th birthday passed! This year I told her that we would only celebrate at school and wouldn't be doing any parties outside school. For this year's goody bags, Miss Kiki decided that she wanted to share books with her friends. She wanted to write it herself, so she started writing a few months prior. After several re-writes, she typed it up on the laptop and got working on the illustrations. Every time she had drawing lesson, she did a picture for her book. All I did for her were scanning, putting the pictures and story together, and then got them printed and bound. The theme for her birthday this year was Kiki's Delivery Service. We wrapped the books in black tissue paper, tied red ribbons on them, and Miss Kiki drew cat eyes on each package. They represent Jiji and Kiki's ribbon. It has been a long while since I last posted a sewing tutorial here, so I think it's due! I had some leftover Tulip Tangled by Sarah Jane from Michael Miller's Sommer Collection, and I happened to be in need of a new organizer for my make up stuff.  For daily make up, I hardly use anything other than eyebrow pencil, a couple of brushes and small eye shadows/blush. It was getting annoying to have to rummage through a pile of stuff in my make up pouch. Thus, I decided to make myself a make up brush roll that would fit all of my tools for everyday use.
