Our second day in Kyoto was a bit cooler and cloudier, but it was still quite comfortable. I had insisted that we went to Arashiyama area to see the Bamboo Forest, which the hubby said was more like a bamboo patch instead. :D We went to the tourist centre at the Kyoto Station to get directions, and from there off we went. Walking in Arashiyama Cute signage in Arashiyama We arrived at the Bamboo forest and saw a few rickshaws there. I think you can rent them as tour guides, although I am not sure how much English they speak. The rickshaw men had special footwear and they were strong!
