After spending a night in Arconcey, we continued our journey to Paris. When I booked the car, I had arranged so that I could return the car at Orly Airport location just south of Paris. This decision was made because I didnāt want to drive through the city and we were coming from the south. Save gas, save time. And just look at the traffic jam as we got closer to the city!
From Orly Airport, we took a taxi to our AirBnB in Paris. We only had one night there, so we went out to explore right away. I purposely didnāt allocate a lot of time in Paris or in any large cities. After our last trip to NYC, we decided that we didnāt like large city travels that much afterall. We (I) had two main goals in Paris. One is to take a nice picture with the Eiffel Tower, and the second one is to shop for cured meat and cheeses to take home.
In Paris, there is a gourmet supermarket called La Grande Epicerie de la Paris. This is where you can get nicer, quality stuff⦠of course with a price. The supermarket has more than one location and we went to the one on Rue de Passy because it was walking distance to Avenue de Camoens, one of the best spots to take a photo with the Eiffel Tower.

We also had the chance to try La Duree Macarons :) And yes, it was good.
That evening, we had dinner at a bar near our AirBnB. Everything we ordered were delicious! It was a nice closing to our trip, before going to the airport the following morning. And this is the end the Dreamy Europe Trip Summer 2024 series, please look forward to the next posts!
