If you are ever in Tokyo, rather than staying at the overcrowded Shibuya and Shinjuku, I would highly recommend trying the Hotel Villa Fontaine Shiodome. The rates are very reasonable, and you get a nice, comfortable room. If you're lucky, you will also get a view! This picture below is of goodies I received from my friend the night before, perched on my room window sill. I was very fortunate to have tasted apples from her brother's apple orchard!

On this day, we headed out to Yokohama by train. Originally, we had planned to go to the Ramen Museum but for some reason we changed plans and went to the new Asobuild instead. I'm pretty sure the name is a word play from Asobu , which means to play. The building was fun with different murals on the wall, and is occupied by food shops, craft store, and an exhibition area.

We went to the craft store and Miss Kiki took a resin pendant making workshop. The area was very neat and it was pretty simple to do so the language is not a problem at all. She chose a doggy-shaped pendant (of course!).
We had an appointment for a factory tour at the Kirin Brewery at 4 pm, so when it was time we went there, got a tour, and enjoyed the free beer! The tour itself was pretty similar to the one we attended in Sapporo, but it was still nice to see. The tour guide spoke in Japanese, which was kind of fun for me to practice and test out my listening skill. For English speakers, there are devices available that looks like a phone handle and you press buttons to listen to the explanations.

It was raining when we left the factory, but it made it all the more memorable. We walked slowly to the train station and then went back to Tokyo. This time we went to the
popular giant gyoza place. Oishii!
