This past summer I had the opportunity to tag along DH who had some sort of geeky convention in Boston, Massachusetts. I have a confession: that was the first time in my life that I learnt how to properly spell the too-many-double-consonants state name. We flew from Jakarta to Boston with a transit in Doha with Qatar Airways. I will have a separate post for Doha later on.
We arrived in Boston Logan International Airport in the afternoon and took a taxi to our hotel that I booked in downtown Boston. The Club Quarters Hotel was very reasonably priced, especially when booked through Hotwire. Strategically situated on Devonshire St. in Boston's Financial District, it is walking distance to a whole lot of attractions in Boston like the Boston Common, Downtown Crossing, and Faneuil Hall. On the day that we arrived, they had some road closures in the area for some movie filming so our taxi driver had to drop us off just a block away from the hotel.
After checking in and filling the provided PET bottles with filtered water on our floor, we ventured out to Downtown Crossing. I was getting hungry so I wanted to try out Legal Seafood's clam chowder for dinner. Their Downtown Crossing location is called Legal Crossing. DH had dinner meeting that day so he accompanied me but didn't eat much. I ordered a mug of Clam Chowder and a portion of Lobster and Mash. Both were good, but I think I still prefer Earl's clam chowder.

In the morning, we headed out for breakfast. DH had wanted to go to a bagel place but I thought that they would be a bit challenging to eat with my braces so we went to Milk Street Cafe and I ordered a breakfast sandwich and coffee. Neither of them were impressive so it was a good thing that we only bought one to share. Miss Kiki called us when we were there so we talked to her for a short while. She was already back from Singapore at that time (she had gone to Singapore with the grandparents before we left) and was crying because she missed us.
After our quick meal we walked around downtown area. There were so many photogenic things around!
Next, we stopped at Walgreens to do a little bit of shopping. Right in front of the store was a memorial about the Great Famine in Ireland and how the Irish refugees were mistreated, but not only survived, but succeeded in many areas.
