Babies and Car Keys

People say that keys are one of the best toys for babies. They make noises, they see mom and dad using them all the time, and a lot of them are attached to a remote with buttons to press! I usually let my little Kiki-chan play with the car keys, despite that I think it's one of the most contaminated item in our household. She loves it, and we can always wash her hands after. Many times she locks and unlocks our car while we're in a restaurant, shopping, or just out somewhere. Never did I realize how handy that skill could be.... until today. I was just about to pull out from a parking spot at a bubble tea place when I noticed a family of three, a dad, a toddler boy, and a 1.5 year old girl. They were getting into their car and since the girl still had to be 'packed in', the boy was left outside the car. When the dad went around to let the boy in the car, I saw a horrified look on his face. He had locked them out of the car, with the baby girl inside! I stopped to se

May The First Dance Last... A Lifetime

Photo by Elcheshen's Photography Summer is almost here and if you don't live where I do, I wish you a lot of sunshine instead of the crazy thunderstorm all night and all day today. On the brighter side, summer means wedding season! Since I already had my dream wedding 3 years ago, and no, I don't plan to have another one, thank you, I can only think of all the happy wedding couples I will see these next few months outside on weekends. The pretty dresses, cute bridesmaids (and the groomsmen!), flowers, and so much more. One thing about weddings that is a big part but often left out until the last minute is of course.... the first dance. Most girls dream about their first dance and most guys are just absolutely nervous about it and some even dread the idea. I want to share some tips for brides and grooms to-be out there on how to make your first dance more memorable. Here they are! Choosing A song Choosing a song for your first dance can be overwhelming, but it does

Easy Egg-Free Tiramisu Recipe

This non-baked cake is a crowd pleaser and is so easy to make. Please let me know if you tried it! Ingredients 475 gr mascarpone (can be substituted with cream cheese) 250 ml whipping cream 1/4 cup sugar  1/8 cup icing sugar 2 regular packages lady fingers biscuit 1 cup coffee or espresso, room temperature 1 tbsp cocoa powder 1 tsp rum (optional) Directions In a large mixing bowl, beat mascarpone cheese or cream cheese with sugar until smooth and creamy. If you want to use rum, put it in now and beat some more. In a separate bowl, beat whipping cream and icing sugar until it doubles in volume and it forms soft peaks when pulled up. Fold whipping cream into the cheese mixture until smooth. Set aside. Assembly Dip a lady finger in coffee and lay it down on a medium size dish (I use a deep 6"x8" glass dish). Repeat this step until the bottom of the dish is covered. Pour 1/3 of the cheese mixture on top and spread with a spoon. Arrange another layer

Our Little Family

After much thoughts and consideration, I decided that this post would be dedicated to my geeky hubby for almost 3 years now, who is a great dad for our beautiful Kirana. Please visit his blog and if you tweet you can follow him on twitter . I love you!
