Upon everyone's return from Edfu Temple to the cruise ship we set sail towards Luxor. The journey was a few hours long and we were getting tired of being on the ship. I sprayed my hair with Doterra to get rid of the dust and smoke smell from Edfu and spent our afternoon on board with chatting and finally shamelessly taking pictures and having my pictures taken. Yes, we were THAT bored. Poor DH had gotten a pretty bad allergic reaction after the Edfu Temple so he spent his afternoon resting with a fever.
Somewhere along the way we heard people shouting from down below. And suddenly goods got flung onto the deck. It turned out that there were peddlers trying to sell their goods to the cruise passengers. They were souvenirs like towels and tablecloth with Egyptian pictures on them. That was quite the sight!
Before we reached Luxor we stopped briefly in Esna water lock where our ship was lowered and passed through. Miss Kiki got lucky afterwards, she got invited to see the ship control room by the ship captain. She was very excited to get the chance to press the button to sound the horn!
Close to sunset we finally arrived at Luxor. We got off the ship and hopped on to a tour bus to go to Luxor Temple. DH was not well enough to go out so the poor guy stayed behind.
