Greece Summer 2025 - Part 7 Meteora

When people say a picture is worth a thousand words, it doesn't apply to Meteora. No pictures can capture how impressive these rock formations are. Only when you see it in person can you truly see how mind-blowing the gigantic rocks with monasteries perched on top are. If you want to visit Meteora, there are two small towns you can stay at. One is Kalabaka (or Kalambaka), and the other is Kastraki. Kalabaka is larger with more food and accommodation options while Kastraki is  much smaller. We stayed for one night and had the opportunity to visit both towns, one monastery while they're open, and saw a few other monasteries from the outside.  The weather that day was very nice. The sun was very bright, we had blue sky, and cool breeze. We didn't know it yet, but it was about to get worse from here... lol Here are some pictures from Meteora, please look forward to the next post!

Greece Summer 2025 - Part 6 Mainland Road Trip Itinerary, Kamena Vourla-Thermopylae

Our bags were packed and we were ready to continue our journey. It was time to leave the beautiful islands of Greece and head over to the mainland. We took the bus from our AirBnb to the port, and then from there we took a ferry to Athens. Ferry tickets were bought in advance at Ferryhopper . The ferry I had chosen was a huge one, and it's not the fast ferry. I purposely chose a slower ferry because they are less bouncy so it's a more comfortable ride.
