Field Trip to TMII

Miss Kiki and friends learnt about insects at school recently. As part of their learning experience, they went for a field trip to the Insect Museum in Taman Mini Indonesia Indah . The complex is actually quite large, and would be interesting for anyone interested in traditional architecture. The Transportation Museum, Electricity Museum, Stamp Museum, and several other museums can be found in the same complex.  Miss Kiki had asked me to drive her to the field trip myself, and when I asked her why, she said it was because she did not want to wake up early to meet up with everyone at school. Lol... at least she's honest about it.  The TMII location was fairly easy to find, but there were no clear signs for the insect museum. I had to ask several times and went around before I found it. But we found it! The children first took a tour at the Freshwater Aquarium, but we got there a bit late so we only joined them towards the end. After everyone had left, Miss Kiki asked to

New Tooth

At the end of our trip in Yogyakarta  while waiting to board the airplane, Miss Kiki told me "Mom, my gum feels funny. It feels rough." Thinking that it was not a big deal, I asked her to show me where it was. Well what did I know... it was a new tooth! She had a tooth growing behind her old one, yet the old one was still planted solid in her gum. I told her that we may have to take her to the dentist and the old tooth might have to be pulled out, and she was so excited about it! Most of her friends at school already lost a tooth or two and she was feeling left out. But not anymore! I booked her for a dentist appointment at  Kidz Dental Care  a few days later and here are some pictures from our visit. The dental clinic is located in Puri area in West Jakarta. From the outside it looks like someone's house except for the small sign right in front of it. It was clean and comfortable, and we had a good experience in it... except that the dentist was a bit tardy.
