Wholewheat Sausage and Cheese Scone

I had a half a litre of whipping cream in the fridge so I decided to make a scone. I used the recipe for the  Ham and Scallion Scone  but modified it a bit. Here it is: 2 cups pastry flour 1 cup wholewheat flour 1/4 cup sugar 1 tablespon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 500 ml cold heavy cream (whipping cream) 1 cup diced sausages 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese I followed the exact same steps as the  Ham and Scallion Scone  and it turned out quite well! This time the batter is not as runny, the result is more dense. If I were to do it again I will cut the sausages bigger and add more cheese. Waaaay more cheese. ps: DH loved them! Enjoy!

Ikut Pilpres di Luar Negri - Voting Outside Indonesia

The Presidential election in Indonesia this time has been quite interesting, with  two very strong candidates with massive number of people supporting them. I am already set with my choice but this is not what this post is all about. July is the school holiday season and I am sure many people have already planned their holidays before the election date was announced. So if you are like me, who will not be here during the election day, do not fret! There is a way, and it is not difficult at all. Special thanks to my friend Irene for directing me towards the right information! Basically these are the steps you need to follow: Find out where you will be on July 4th, 5th, 6th, and 9th. Check which KBRI (Indonesian Embassy) is nearest to where you will be on those days. Contact them to find out which date they will have the voting, and to tell them that you want to vote there. I know in Singapore it will be on the 6th and in Bangkok it will be on the 5th. KBRI across the world are

Almost A Week in Prague - Part 5 (End)

It's day 5 in Prague!  Please see Part 1 , Part 2 , Part 3 , and Part 4 . I had planned this day for exploring Prague area on the opposite side of the river. There are several places of interests there, most of them not too far from each other. Unfortunately, DH had allergy reactions to something in the air so he had been sneezing every time we were out and he also had watery eyes. In the morning when I woke up poor DH was sick like a dog so I headed out searching for breakfast and some tea to bring back. The hotel did not provide drinking water in our room nor an electric water kettle. Luckily from Foursquare I found out that there was a PAUL boulangerie just a couple of blocks away so I went there.  Coffee and pastries at PAUL seemed expensive compared to other no-name bakeries and cafes, but after converting it to Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) it actually is cheap! The Royal Menu consisted of a ham and cheese croissant and coffee or tea for 74 Kc. That's approximately US
